I never knew that our new apartment would be the front row seat for one of the biggest celebrations here in our new town!
The festival for the Holy Cross. It is a Catholic tradition and every year at the beginning of May people come from ALL over to celebrate the Holy Cross.
This is a picture out our window!
Games for kids, food, beer, and more people than we had ever seen in our town before!
I wanted to share these pictures for two reasons...
1. Catholicism is real and Satan is taking the lives of people through this religion that is so similar to ours. PLEASE pray for Mexico! Pray for those who are lost in their traditions that they would come to know the Lord as their one and only Savior!
2. Praise the Lord that we are not saved by works! The Mexican people have a 5 day festival to please God. They work hard to please God but couldn't be further off track. I praise the Lord for his GRACE in our lives!
For it is by Grace that we are saved not by works!

The first day, a parade of dancing and an altar to Mary. Women bring their flowers and candles.
